What is IV nutritional therapy?
IV nutritional therapy delivers hydrating fluids and essential nutrients to your body via your veins quickly and efficiently. Because this method bypasses the gastrointestinal system, it results in 100% absorption of the nutrients into the bloodstream.
What is in an IV treatment?
The IV bag contains essential fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants; exactly which ones depends on your personalized treatment.
Who decides what goes into the IV bag?
You’ll speak with our Medical Director who is a licensed physician. You’ll be asked a series of questions about your health and objectives. Then together you’ll decide on the best course of treatment.
Who administers the IV drip treatment?
A licensed medical professional administers the treatment and is by your side throughout the therapy in case you have any questions or need anything.
If I eat a healthy diet, is IV nutrient therapy necessary?
A healthy diet gives you a great head start, but it’s hard to get all of your nutrients just from the foods you eat. IV therapy ensures your body has the nutrients it needs to operate at its best and maintain your health.
Can’t I just take some vitamins and supplements orally?
IVs allow more rapid and effective absorption of nutrients, so they’re more effective than vitamins and supplements taken by mouth. You’ll also feel the positive results much more quickly.
What are some of the conditions that IV nutrient therapy treats?
We offer IV products for just about everything, but some of the most common conditions that our IVs are especially well-suited for are:
- Age-related aches and pains
- Recovery from workouts
- Lack of energy
- Chronic fatigue and brain fog
- Seasonal allergies
- Athletic performance
- Detoxification/narcotic withdrawal
- Tension headaches
- Migraine headaches
- Improved immune system
- Weight loss issues
- Chronic depression
Are IV treatments safe?
Yes! The ingredients for our IV treatments come from reputable, accredited pharmacies and suppliers. All treatments are prepared by our licensed medical professionals.
Are there any side effects of IV therapy?
You may experience slight irritation at the IV insertion site. Some people find they feel warm or a bit flushed during the treatment. Or you may experience the taste of vitamins in your mouth, but that usually goes away quickly. The risk of serious side effects is extremely low.
Does IV therapy hurt?
It takes just a few seconds for our skilled registered nurse to insert the IV. We use a small needle as well as medicine that numbs the area, so it is virtually painless. Most people who’ve had IV therapy will tell you the anticipation was worse than the actual “stick” and well worth it for the benefits of the therapy.
How long does an IV treatment take?
Most treatments take 45 minutes, but allow one hour to include setup time.
How long does it take to feel the IV’s effects?
Some people feel immediately rejuvenated and energized. For others, it may take a day or two to feel the full positive effect.
How long do the benefits of an IV treatment last?
Of course, everyone is different, but generally speaking, you can expect to feel the positive benefits from an IV treatment for one to three weeks.
Are there any age restrictions?
Our IV treatments are designed for adults, so we require that you be 18. Other than that, IVs are safe for people at any age.
What is an add-on IV push?
Our IV pushes provide the maximum health, energy or beauty boost. Because they use less fluid, they can be administered in about 10 minutes. They fast-track vitamin absorption to accelerate the positive results.
What can I do while the IV is being administered?
While you’re hooked up to the IV, you can watch TV, call a friend, read a book, check social media, meditate, take a nap or just chill.
What happens when the IV transfusion is done?
The nurse will remove it from your arm (don’t worry; it’s painless) and place a small dressing of gauze and Coban self-adhesive wrap on the area. The wrap will apply slight pressure to the injection site to prevent any bleeding or bruising. We recommend you keep the dressing on for about 45-60 minutes.
How frequently do I need an IV treatment?
Our Medical Director or nurse can discuss your individual objectives and help you determine whether weekly, biweekly or monthly is the best option for you.
Can IV therapy help me get over my cold?
Yes, it helps lessen the symptoms by replenishing your fluids, providing electrolytes and delivering vitamins that boost your immune system to fight off the virus.
Can IV therapy help if I have a killer hangover?
